about
M. Vallez wrote this song while dreaming. When he woke up, he picked up his guitar and figured out the chord progression and melody parts. The lyrics are based on the dream. During the dream, the author was driving a motorcycle in a ditch full of golden grasses, that were swaying in the breeze. The author explains that he experienced pure joy while lost in the dream.
lyrics
Verse 1:
Your heart is an ocean
Rock me in your waters
I can see to the bottom
Like the lakes in autumn
Verse 2:
Your love is full of sunshine
warm me on the roadside
ride me like a Harley
Backroads and Bob Marley
Verse 3:
Driving in a ditch
grasses in the sway
nothing but tomorrows
as we ride away
Verse 4:
I can feel your joy
gliding with the breeze
lost in Illinois
Never felt so free
Chorus 1:
and I know that there's nobody quite like you out there, holding me tight while I'm driving the bike for two.
Runaway with me, let's get lost on the streets of endless dreams, let's take a new route, let's finally break out of here.
Verse 5:
Your voice is like the mornings
talk to me for hours
the motors softly singing
as I demonstrate her power
Verse 6:
Your hand is full of kindness
touch me on the shoulder
there's nothing left behind us
why don't you pull a little closer
Chorus 2:
and I know that there's nobody quite like you out there, holding me tight while I'm driving the bike for two.
Runaway with me, let's get lost on the streets of endless dreams, let's take a new route, let's finally break out of here.
